Help Us Close the Skilled Trade Gap
Skilled trades are facing some of the most severe worker shortages in the United States. The shortage in trade workers has reached historic levels due to:

Aging workforce: Many skilled trades have median ages in the mid-40's to 50's

Too few apprentices: Training programs aren’t replacing retiring workers fast enough

Infrastructure spending: Federal and state projects require massive labor

Manufacturing reshoring: More factories equals more electricians, mechanics, welders and machinists

Population growth in Sun Belt states: Construction booms outpacing worker supply
Students learn how to use basic tools and safety mechanics tied to each one. Participants will also be introduced to building trade careers and meeting actual men & women working in the fields. The classwork includes hands-on projects and site tours.
Participants will learn basic tool usage and safety mechanics through working on community building and renovating projects. The curriculum is a work-based approach to learning skilled trade career opportunities and practicing soft skills that can be used in any job pathway. Participants will earn certificates & certifications upon completion.
Participants can receive career counseling and business consulting in the building trades industry and be directed to workforce opportunities including job shadowing and internships. This program is designed to help build networking support and career opportunities.
